Pregnancy Chiropractic in Cabot
Here for You Through Every Stage
Pregnancy brings incredible changes to your body, and Grace Chiropractic Center is here to help you navigate them comfortably. Clay has developed a reputation in Cabot as “the pregnancy guy” because of his detailed approach to prenatal and postpartum care. We begin working with you the day you discover you’re pregnant, teaching you specific stretches and positions to help your pelvis prepare for delivery.
Pregnancy is essentially a year and a half process. You’re pregnant for nine months, and then your body’s recovering for the next six months. We help you get through all those phases.” - Clay
Education From Day One
When you first visit during pregnancy, Clay explains the joints in your pelvis that need to flex for delivery, the pubic bone, and the SI joints. He’ll show you stretches and positions to help those joints get used to moving, because the more prepared they are, the more comfortable your delivery will be.
As your pregnancy progresses and your center of gravity shifts forward, different challenges arise. You’ll start leaning back more to compensate, which tightens your lower back muscles. Most expecting mothers are small people who’ve never weighed this much before, so we address the biomechanical changes every step of the way.

Guiding You Through Postpartum Recovery
After delivery, your body goes through another major transition. You’ll be bending over more than ever before—changing diapers, picking up toys, carrying your growing child. Clay teaches you about these biomechanical changes and how to protect your body during this demanding time.
“Most moms carry their child on their left hip so they can handle the world with their dominant right hand,” Clay notes. “As the child gets heavier, they stick their hip out more, which tends to make them tighter on the left side of their back.” We show you how to recognize and prevent these common patterns.
Targeted Equipment and Techniques
Our therapy room includes peanut balls for lateral traction and targeted exercises designed for pregnant and postpartum women. We focus heavily on strengthening your glute medius to prevent the waddling that happens when those muscles can’t support your changing weight distribution.
