Meet Dr. Clay Gross

Your Family’s Body Mechanic

Dr. Clay Gross has been passionate about helping people move and feel better since high school. After watching his mother find relief through chiropractic care, he knew he’d found his calling. Clay earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas in 2001, even studying animal chiropractic on racehorses.

He opened Grace Chiropractic Center in 2006, naming it after his beloved grandmother, Grace Golden, a respected teacher in the Cabot school district for 40 years.

A Different Approach to Care

Clay calls himself “the most un-chiropractic chiropractor” you’ll meet. Instead of complex terminology, he focuses on practical biomechanics: how the body moves and what can be done about it. “I call myself a body mechanic. I joke that I should call my office the body shop, where we knock dents out of people.”

When you meet Clay, he introduces himself by his first name, not as Dr. Gross. This informal approach creates an environment where genuine healing conversations happen.

The Mind-Body Connection

Clay’s practice philosophy centers on his observation that mental and emotional stress directly impact physical health. “Whatever you’ve got going on in your head is going to be manifested in your body.” He doesn’t just ask where it hurts, but about your sleep, stress levels, and life challenges.

His diverse background includes competitive shooting sports and pursuits like motorcycling and kayak fishing. His wife is a dean at a nearby university, and together they’ve built a life rooted in the Cabot community.

Giving People Honest, Personal Care

Clay’s goal is simple: help you understand your body so you can take an active role in getting better. No scripts, no pressure, just honest conversation about what’s wrong and how to fix it. After more than two decades, he has observed that people recover faster when they understand what is happening and feel truly heard.
